Chair: Sharon Vetsch, The QuickBooks Queen

Originated as a 12 month raffle to help pay rent after the building the Chamber’s office was in burned down. Responsibilities include promoting the sale of tickets at Chamber events. Monitor the ticket drawings at the monthly networking luncheons. $10/TICKET.  The Chamber conducts 4 drawings each month which means a total of 48 CHANCES TO WIN $25, $50 or $100.  And even if you win, your ticket goes back in the drum for another chance to win again!

Chair: Dr. Sandy Bury, Complete Vision Care

This B2C event is held in conjunction with the Oak Lawn Community High School Craft/Vendor Fair. Typically held in October, this is a time to show off your business and connect with the community! This event has been held for over 25 years and is well attended.  The committee will help plan the event as well as work the table on the day of the showcase. (1-2 meetings prior to event)

Chair: Daniel Stidham, Calvary Church

This event is relatively new, two years running and held mid-September at Stony Creek Golf.  A fun for the family event! Mini golf, face painting, bounce house, bags tournament, driving range, balloon animals, food trucks and more! This committee’s responsibilities include planning, securing sponsors, and volunteer at the event itself. (3-4 meetings prior to event)

Chair: Nick Gulino, JP Architects, Ltd.

Oak Lawn Chambers biggest fundraiser!  The event is held on the 2nd  Wednesday of July at Stony Creek Golf Course.  This committee will coordinate securing sponsors, planning the day of activities.  Responsibilities include volunteering the day of the event. (3-4 meetings prior to event)

Chair: Susan Latocha, Advocate Health Care

This is a community event designed to connect health/safety category businesses with attendees. Historically, this event has been held at the Oak Lawn Senior Center in the month of April on a Wednesday from 9 am – 12 pm.  The responsibilities of the committee include securing donations, boosting awareness and volunteering the day of the event. (1-2 meetings prior to event)

Chair: Incoming President

This is the “Installation of Officers and Directors Dinner”. This party kicks off the New Year with Chamber members, the Oak Lawn Business Community, and local officials. The responsibilities include choosing the menu & venue, helping with the agenda and planning entertainment as well as volunteering the day of the event. (1-2 meetings prior to event)

Chair: Nick Gulino, JP Architects, Ltd.

Information sharing committee. Keeps in touch with political issues that might affect local businesses and sharing concerns of local businesses with our state and local officials.

Chair: Nicole Wetzell, NEW Marketing Solutions

A think tank of individuals interested in all things marketing.  Review membership directory prior to print.  Monitor Chamber website for opportunities to improve. Brainstorm new and innovative ways to market the Oak Lawn Chamber of Commerce. (monthly meetings)

Chair: Joe Eaton, Shark Shredding

The committee’s responsibilities are two-fold: 1) assist new members through the Onboarding Process to help them get the most out of their Chamber membership through quarterly breakfasts & one-on-one Chamber Chats & 2) Provide opportunities to learn more about important topics that might affect their organizations. We also represent the Chamber at various functions including Ribbon Cuttings & Business after Hours.
